    Photo Gig

That was in the subject of the email that contained my very first inquiry for me to shoot an event! The event? A bat mitzvah, which…having gone through that myself, makes me feel like I am coming full circle. It was something I will never forget for a few reasons: 1) I’ll never be handed that amount of money…ever again 2) I’ll never be able to read Hebrew as fluently as I was able to then and 3) it was such an incredible genuine time – I remember going to bed feeling so happy…it truly was an amazing experience. A bar/bat mitzvah is such a symbolic tradition in Judaism: it is…

    Vacation Staycation

It’s been pretty swell being on vacation for the past week or so. I haven’t worn jeans since December 21st and I am completely fine with that. Since there are no commitments, I am able to muster up the energy to hit the gym almost every day since being here. All that weight I probably gained between Thanksgiving and Christmas (I feel) is coming off. Who knows if it actually is but it’s the thought that counts right? It’s been great but a break would be nice, so that’s what I’ve done. Today marks the first day of my three-week vacation I have given myself. I flew to Texas this morning at 5:55am. Instead of taking an Uber to the airport like I usually would, I decided to call a taxi company. Ever since these articles about Uber and the problems surrounding the company came out, I’ve been skeptical. I went to Yelp and found Smurfs Transportation. They were great and what Uber USED to be: polite, friendly and professional. The airport was mildly insane but…

    2014

It’s been almost a year since I’ve created and updated this website and it’s incredible to think back on what’s happened this year. Here are some things that’s made 2014 a solid year: between May and August, I visited 7 states I met the Mrs. Fields of Mrs. Fields cookies I went to Vegas (and gambled) for the first time I graduated college One of my New Years Resolutions is to actually keep up with this “News” and “blog” more.  I don’t know how I’ll do at this seeing as last year I probably had the same resolution but it’s worth a shot. Cheers, L
