Last month, Nick’s parent’s visited us and we took a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park for two days. We stayed in this adorable cabin for two nights, which really enabled us to explore and arrive early/stay late at the park. I had never stayed in a cabin in RMNP but after this past time, I will definitely do it again! There’s something so cozy and comforting about log cabins in the woods that I LOVE. I need to do it more often.
The second night we stayed, there was a predicted snow storm so we hunkered down with beer and homemade-box-brownies and awaited. The following morning we went back to the park and it was quite literally a winter wonderland. Everything glistened as the sun began coming out; it was truly magical.
It’s these one-day/two-day get aways to the mountains that remind me of why we moved out to Colorado <3
